Academic Advising Office is excited to announce the restart of our group advising sessions!

We’re all creatures of habit, and most of us wouldn’t consider changing any of the things that made us successful in the past. However, this is the perfect opportunity for you to take stock of your life and set yourself up for success. Time to set a few new resolutions, and maybe make some changes in our everyday lives.

Let's discuss the lessons you learned last semester and work on your resolutions and goals for the Spring semester during our very first group advising session of 2023:

Following the Academic Probation Information session in December, you will have 3 mandatory meetings as part of the AP Support. Please refer to the dates and period of these meetings below: 

- 1st meeting: till January 20
- 2nd meeting: February10-March 10
- 3rd meeting: March 15-April 15

As the first meetings started on Monday, please make sure to meet your advisors at your earliest convenience and discuss your plan for this semester.

Please check the new sections for PHYS 161 and MATH 161. As these sections are new, which means you need to make adjustments to your schedule, particularly if you are on WL for other section. It doesn’t imply that you will be added to the new section automatically, you need to do it by yourself.

Make sure that these new sections work for your schedule (no time clashes).

This is to remind you that AAO continues to collect your stories to feature them in the upcoming podcast - AAO Radiolab 1.

Podcast will feature the stories of freshmen, both happy and sad, to voice your concerns, share happy moments and inspire each other.
Feel free to send us an anonymous letter to tell us about you, and we will discuss the letter in our podcast episodes.

A letter can be sent either in Kazakh, Russian, or English. Feel free to send as many letters as you want.
Once we receive your anonymous letters, we will choose some and highlight them in our podcast episodes to analyze the problem and give suggestions on how to overcome it.
